RESEARCH INTERESTS	

My research focuses on the intersection of technology and everyday social practice. Currently, I am investigating emergent forms of sociality online, focusing specifically on how friendships are formed in virtual worlds.

♦	Friendship in Virtual Worlds: Social network and qualitative interview investigation of how people form online friendship networks over time (dissertation research).

Directed development of OWL-Engine search tool for 8-11 year-old children:
♦	Created and managed five member cross-disciplinary research and design team.
♦	Conducted and applied qualitative and quantitative research to interface design.
